Liberals blasted on Kyoto: “‘It’s inappropriate in an international meeting to slam another political party,’ Liberal MP John Godfrey said in an interview with CTV Newsnet. But Mr. Godfrey insisted he was not guilty of the same charge when he called Ms. Ambrose’s actions ‘idiotic’ during a news conference Monday at the same UN meeting.

‘It was the opposite of disloyal,’ he said of his earlier comments. ‘It was simply supporting Kyoto.’”

    Uh, right….

These opposition members flew half way around the world with the single purpose of heckling Rona Ambrose at the UN meeting on Kyoto.

Stephen Taylor – Conservative Party of Canada Pundit: Media bias on climate change

So Rona Ambrose gets the dubious “Fossil of the Day Award” at the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change and the press in Canada is falling all over themselves to report on it. But a year ago Stephane Dion of the Liberal Party received the same “award” at the UNFCCC conference in Montreal, and not drop of ink was spilled.

The Liberals sign us on to the Kyoto Accord and spend the next 13 years doing nothing and running up a 30% increase in Greenhouse Gasses. But it’s the Conservatives that take flak for actually implementing a plan with attainable targets, recognizing the fact that due to Liberal inaction original Canadian targets are now unreachable (a fact even Liberals acknowledge).

Of course, it’s just the same old story…

So the Zune, ostensibly Microsoft’s “iPod Killer”, comes out today. And the reviews are bad bad bad. From the pricing structure of the Zune Marketplace to the crippling DRM to the terrible user experience. This thing is a dud and anyone who drops actual cash on this thing is a fool.

Ok, it’s been a really busy week getting caught up from last week, and now I have to take off again – this time to Niagara for a softball tournament. When I get back, when things settle down again, I’ll flesh out some of those reviews as promised, and write all kinds of other incredibly boring things.

Like most digital cameras, mine has a video feature that I don’t use very much. I did point-and-shoot a couple vids this past week though, so here they are:

Vince Vaughn on his favourite part of making his film – at the Q&A for Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show.

Bobcat Goldthwait Loves Degrassi – when introducing his film Sleeping Dogs Lie, Bobcat Goldthwait told the crowd that he’d be sneaking out during the screening to have his picture taken at Degrassi Street. Apparently he’s a huge fan. This clip, which is really just audio (it was way too dark in the Paramount theater for video), is from after the screening when he shows off the Degrassi T-Shirt he bought while he was out.
